The industry standard for warranties is 5 years and/or 3 service calls whichever comes first.. You should talk about the warranty with the refinishing company during the pricing/scheduling phase..

The care and maintenance instructions are hand to hand with the warranty and need to be followed, Peeling , lifting, blistering, crazing of the coating system are circumstances that are warrantied items that should be taken care of by your re-finisher under the warranty.. Chipping is most often caused by impact damage and you should contact the re-finisher as quickly as you can to have that repaired that cost would be your responsibility.

The coating systems that are used for tubs are extremely durable and often times meet and exceed new tub manufactures guidelines/specifications for impact and staining resistance.. Please understand that the coating system is a liquid chemical coating that dries to a solid surface very similar to how a new car is painted.. I often tell my customers, "if you would not wash or use the item on your car, show the same care with your tub"..

Be careful of "lifetime warranties", the warranty should be a least 3 to 5 years, the coating systems are designed to last 8-12 years with proper care and maintenance, again very similar a new cars paint job, diffrent coating systems but the same care to keep it looking good..
